Halloween is coming up and all sorts of horror movies are showing up in the cinemas. When it comes to asian horror movies, The Coffin will be the first pick to watch. Already the number one horror movie in Thailand this year, the movie features Ananda Everingham(best known for his lead role in the horror cult classic Shutter) and famous Hong Kong actress Karen Mok(So Close, God Of Cookery). Directed by Ekachai Uekrongtham(Beautiful Boxer), The Coffin is based on an actual Thai ritual of lying in coffins to get rid of bad luck and prolong life. I didn’t even know there was such a ritual. Sounds unique enough to me to get you horror fans to catch this box office hit in the cinemas. - impedius
